Guest guest
I just had to share this. From another list, shared with permission. When I was in high school 30+ years ago, I fell down the stairs tore my tendon and ligament in my ankle. It swelled up to twice it's size and discolored painfully. My Chiropractor at the time told me to do the following: Take a carrot and shred it. Make a poultice of it over the hematoma. Cover with plastic wrap and then an ace wrap. Wear this to bed. In the morning the coloring was almost gone, the swelling had reduced and I could walk on the ankle without crutches as the stiffness had also gone. I use this everytime I hurt a limb or get a severe bruise. It works everytime. Sometimes I have to do it for a couple days...but it always works.
