Guest guest
Many of you do know, some do not .. my 3 yr old has a " deadly " nut allergy. I say it that way to stress that its not like he just gets a little rash or tummy ache from eating nuts - he ends up in the hospital with internal hives obstructing his windpipe (been there done that). He carries a bottle of Benedryl and an Epi-Pen with him at all times in his little backpack. Its a very scary thing and I want to talk to others who live with it (themselves or their kiddos). *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
Hi Chris, My 2 year old also suffers from a cashew and pistachio allergy. He hasn't reacted as badly as your son, but when he did have just one little taste of cashew butter, he had hives, throat swelled and he vomited. I can imagine it would have been a similar situation to your little man if he had more of it. We too, have an Epi-pen. Owen is also allergic to eggs (which annoys me to no end!) and goat dairy (yeah, I know, no one is allergic to goat dairy!), and has outgrown allergies to peanuts, wheat and cow dairy. It's been an adventure, thats for sure. On top of it all, I am still nursing so I need to avoid everything he is allergic to as well, hence my egg annoyance! :-) Feel free to email anytime!
