Seems to be mostly for the western world as I don't see anything, about, say Japan and we know what a long history they have of bathing (but frankly I do not know anything about history of soap in their culture.) http://www.kitchendoctor.com/articles/soap.html KD ______________________________\ ____ 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? [Dave:] That’s one of the better histories of soap that I’ve seen. It’s a subject that I have also written about and researched. It seems that the Celts were well familiar with soap, as were many ancient peoples. They used it as a hair gel in order to make themselves appear more fearsome in battle. Their way of fighting was hoardes of naked warriors, smeared with blue pigment, with their hair standing straight up. A lot of enemies apparently found the whole thing alarming enough to simply go home again. Seems to be mostly for the western world as I don't see anything, about, say Japan and we know what a long history they have of bathing (but frankly I do not know anything about history of soap in their culture.)
