Guest guest
Hello, I just wrote a huge piece and it was so long, I deleted it. Basically I went through my symptoms of heart failure. The symptoms are : Shortness of breath not related to exercise or exertion Increase in swelling of the lower limbs (legs or ankles) Swelling or pain in the abdomen Trouble sleeping (waking up short of breath, using more pillows) Frequent dry, hacking cough Increased fatigue Confusion, impaired thinking Increased heart rate (from coreg site) I had every one of them. I was pregnant and it masked alot of the symptoms into " just a pregnancy thing " . I nearly died, and had to be medivac'd to SLC in order to save my life. I was on full life support for over a week and a half. The very first sign I had was the swelling. I could see the imprint in first my ankles, calves, & toes in the beginning. The pregnancy triggered it and my going into premature labor saved my life as well as my baby's. In the end, I was nearly drowning in my own fluids - the cough was to rid my lungs of the fluid, which got worse everyday. I have to check my weight everyday, at the exact time as before, and take my pressure readings as well. I take a diuretic everyday, along with pressure pills I didn't want this to be so long, but EVERY post I have on any group has that written in it - I just can't write a short one! Ok, so I think you both better get into the doc as soon as possible. It could be nothing - standing too long when you are not used to it- or something that needs to be caught before it gets bad. Right now, my heart is only working at 20% Yours troolie, Glo , " Karen M Chan " <kmchan wrote: > > <snip> and have noticed a > lot of swelling in my lower legs and ankles.
