Guest guest
This works on getting my dogs smelling okay after being skunked, I suspect it would work with cat urine: (I don't have the exact measurements any more ... I throw it together now and it still works): 1/2 c. baking soda 1/3 c. hydrogen peroxide 1 T. lemon dish soap water (about 1 cup) Someone told me they use it on their carpets ... I haven't had an opportunity yet, I was concerned about possible bleaching -- but she said it didn't hurt her carpets. So you might want to do a " swatch test " somewhere first. Guest guest
When our dog was a puppy I used basically this recipe-saturate the carpet with hydrogen peroxide, blot it up until almost dry again, sprinkle baking soda on top and vacuum the next day. I have never had a problem with the color although a test of the peroxide should be done first. This worked so well I used it on an area where he was going for a long time that I didn't know about and it totally took the smell out.
