bleach in bath water

This may be a little off topic, and I appologize if it is, but you are

all so knowledgible that I am hoping someone has an answer.

My friend has her children bathe with 1/2 cup of bleach in their bath

water. She says it is good for the skin and kills germs. I don't even

use bleach in my wash, so the idea is really foreign to me. Has anyone

ever heard of this, and am I way off base in thinking this can't be

good?

Thanks,

Lizzie

[Dave:] Good for the skin? I doubt it. Kills germs? Sure, and so do a

lot of things, including substances that ARE good for the skin.

I would imagine maybe she has well water and is worried about the well

water since tap water already has chlorine in it~ ?

Sindy

who has well water and bleachs her jacuzzi tub once a week but not her own

body thank you very much , and I agree, I can't imagine how that would

affect them, actually prolly not at all if she has a 100 gallon tub like

mine now that I think of it~
