Guest guest
If you cannot find out anything about it then It has not been tested or no one else has found it to be of any theraputic value. Hype Hype Hype is my take on it so far until otherwise informed by someone who actually has a worthwhile reputation (Ii.e. Not Gary Young or any YL Clone) There are some references to other plant in the Bursera family .. I googled http://www.google.com/search?q=Bursera+Graveolens & ie=utf-8 & oe=utf-8 & aq=t & rls=org\ ..mozilla:en-US:official & client=firefox-a and found this Palo santo Bursera graveolens (Burseraceae) Bursera graveolens, known in Spanish as palo santo ( " holy wood " ) is a deciduous tree that inhabits the South American Gran Chaco region (northern Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and the Brazilian Mato Grosso), i.e. the tropical dry forest zone. It greens during the rainy season, but is leafless for most of the year. It is related to the olibanum or frankincense tree (genus Boswellia) and is said to be to South America what sandalwood is to Asia. The wood has a sweet and pleasant odour and is used as an incense. Terpenoids like mint lactone and sesquiterpenoids like kusunol, (-)-10-epi-gamma-eudesmol and a number of agarofuran eudesmanes are responsible for the minty, herbal and woody nuances. Among the odour determining compounds in the smoke from the wood are phenols, vanillin, valencene, dehydromintlactone and cyclotene (3-methyl-2-cyclopenten-2-ol-1-one) [49] [50]. Etymology: Lat. graveolens, strongly odoriferous. But as there is no references in any trustworthy aromatherpy reference I would not use it in Aromatherapy. e.g. Martin Watt's Plant aromatics , Tony Burfield's Natural Aromatic Materials Sylla Sheppard-Hanger'sAromatherapy practitioner ref manual have no reference. YL Will hype it to the rafters. Me? I'll stay away until it gets some credence and I am sure that it costs a fortune. Guest guest
Ho BOY! I can tell you quite a bit about the oil and GY. As usual, it's NOT his discovery, he STOLE it. Not only that, it's not the pure oil. I've got a ton on my plate right at this moment and I will come back to Pootie later and sit down with some rather lengthy information on this. But be assured, GY is up to his old tricks of stealing other peoples ideas, oils, etc. You can take the crook out of the US, but you can't take the crook out of the slime ball. ;-) K On 3/3/07, Jo <jmhborne wrote: > > much about Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens). Just looking for specifics on the oil. Thanks for any info you have on that.
Guest guest
Thank you Graham, Exactly the info I needed. I had run across that example, but that is about all I could find. I agree, if there is no info it should not be used. Thanks!
Guest guest
San Paolo oil. I'll give you what I have that was given to me by the distiller. It will contain some mention of Gary young and his english isn't exact, but it's good enough to understand. Also, the second post that I will send will be totally in spanish but will have some of what you need/asked. Oh and I asked permission to pass this on, he said use it as I wish... ________ Hello Woobey Queen, At first let me apologize for my English. I produce the Palo Santo essential oil, in the Republic of Ecuador. For more information you can see my web pages I have: www.saintwood.com www.palo-santo-ecuador.com. I rediscover the use of the Palo Santo into 1200 hás. of my ex private forest in Manta Ecuador in 1981, now I only have the rights for the use of the forest for 5 years, of more than 30000 trees ready for the production, for the moment I only can produce one and a half litters at day from this xerophyte forest. Two years ago arrived Gary Young for my samples I send with a friend of him here, and takes all the information I have, and in my back go to work with Dante Bolcato (see, Salangome), a Italian men who begins to work with me in the distillation of the natural falling harts of the trees in 2002. Young discover more applications of the use of this oil, and now takes the not clear/pure oil from this men at $300 each litter. What is happen with them, they are in fight now, because Young did not pay at time, but that is not my problem. The real problem is they are taken the primal material from the Machalilla's National Park that is forbidden, and now they are offering to the world all the benefits of this oil. I have a very bad impression from Young, when I meet him at the Wonmp congress here in Quito, when he lies in public about his discover of the Palo Santo's oil and the way of the procedures of his investigation and more. I dont know if is true that the Palo Santo´s oil is good for skin cancer likes he says here in Ecuador. My experience: The oil and resin it is real good for healing dermal problems, and with children's really works stoping the nasal flue sometimes in seconds; in a massage changes the people in positive, i use the Yang and Yin oils, the resin an the distilled; one gives relax, the other gives energy. I put all my information about this oil and my company production if you have interest. I can send you some samples, but the problem, is not possible to send them to EEUU for the moment, I am working to put all in order to export oil & incenses I made with a special natural formula I discover too. If you give me a address in another country, I can send the samples there or please send somebody to come here. The price of my production is $500 at litter of the distilled oil, and $1000 of the oil resin at litter.
