Guest guest
I am trying to make a thick shea butter cream with minimal ingredients. My 1st attempt was 80% shea butter and 20% frac. coconut oil. I softened the butter and whipped it according to all the advice on this website. It was this soft gorgeous cream for about 20 minutes and then it hardened up in my somewhat chilly apt to its original hard butter consistency which melts on contact into an oil - very greasy and unpleasant to apply to my skin. Did I do this correctly? How do I create a " true " creamy cream - one that applies like a very thick lotion (rather than a butter that melts into an oil) with a minimum of ingredients? Do I have to use water and emulsifiers to achieve this? Thanks for any advice.
