Thought it was interesting enough to share Any > thoughts? Chris Kelly Yes ma'am .. got some thoughts on that. I'll just give you a couple but there are many posts in the list archive on absorption .. some will be listed under skin patches or EO patches .. or whatever. This is an old subject that comes up often .. we dealt with last some years ago when a company (maybe this one) came out with similar marketing. I and Martin and Graham and Marge and Chris and many other folks should have posts in the archive. One post Martin wrote is at: http://health./message/44215 And there is some good info on his site reference absorption. http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/skinabso.html#ref-10 One of many posts I wrote here .. look for the part on skin patches - http://health./message/42838 Bottom line .. using chemical enhancers, SOME chemicals can be aided or forced to absorb to a certain depth .. but not ALL chemicals. And this site is not claiming that these patches absorb. The basic introduction on this site is misleading hype .. and they are, in fact leading the unwary into thinking these patches work by absorption, as do nicotine patches, etc. But in fact .. they are making no out and out claims of that sort .. they are using words like " inhaling " and " scents " do this and that .. so they are walking on the razor's edge of truth and legality .. but the intent is to deceive the unwary .. otherwise, they would be selling EO instead of patches and charging a lotta money. The referenced site must be read carefully .. it says what it says instead of what some folks want it to say .. and instead of what the owners of the site hope folks read into it. Its slick deception. When folks attempt to deceive using fancy humma-humma I automatically and correctly (I believe) assume that any follow on information would be fruit of the poison tree. Lavender is certainly a sleep aid .. but its about inhalation .. not about absorption. And .. again, they are not claiming absorption .. they are just giving the impression that this is what will go down. Their wrong is a sin of omission - which is deception .. and it is slick marketing. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
