Guest guest
Man oh man.....do I know the feeling! Well, almost anyways Hubby broke out last Mother's Day with hives over all of his body. After many trips to many different Dr's, it was an immunologist that finally figured it out. He had been exposed to the Epstein Barr virus. I believe that the Immuno Dr said that 90% of adult onset of hives is caused by some left over virus that the body can't get rid of. And something like 80+% of US citizens have this virus in their systems....some just react worse to it than others. He was taking 20mg of prednisone along with a host of other stuff including anti itch meds. He is finally down to 2 mg of prednisone but has to take 4 Zyrtec, 2 Zantac, as well as anti itch meds still......and he still has some hive breakout. If this continues I would suggest checking into it asap......as there are 2 different types of hives. One is way worse than the type hubby has. Hope your case is something simple.
