Guest guest
This message is to the whole group, but to Chris in particular.I live right here in Katy. My home is 2 streets west of Houston and I would be happy to volunteer to help out if you want to have an Aromatherapy UnConference in the Houston area. Ya'll have a HAPPY and BLESSED EASTER!! Love and friendship, Ro 281-579-1664 On Behalf Of Butch Owen Thursday, April 05, 2007 10:20 AM Aromatherapy UnConference - 2007 - Houston or San Antonio or Thereabouts ? Hey Kathleen, > Houston? When? This year? Goody! Yep .. the word I got was they were gonna have it in Texas this year. Course, I reckon it would be more fun if it was held in San Antonio .. getting around Houston ain't easy .. even if you use the Sam Houston Freeway. That dang Freeway gotta toll booth around every 100 yards. Ain't but a 50 cent piece or so each time so I reckon they put'em that close so they could both collect money and save money .. ain't no need for traffic cops to watch out for speeders when the longest stretch between stops is 100 yards or so. ;-) Besides that .. all Americans should oughta make a pilgrimage to the Alamo at least once. For them whut calls themselves Texacans .. not visiting the Alamo used to be a hangin' offense. > Hubby will pitch a FIT but never mind, he needs a little excitement > in his life! >snicker< I'm certain that we will all feel good about being able to assist him. > Well done Butch for volunteering her! It's not like she has anything > better to do! ROFLMAO! I think it was a pretty good idea myself. And truth is Chris ain't got all that much to do .. she goofs off half the day. All she gotta do is take care of a house and a husband .. two little boy babies .. a couple of dawgs and cats .. a natural products business and a News Group. I'm thinking that most young gals .. even if'n they do be refugees from New Yawk City who are trying to learn the gud life as Suthran Gal .. oughta be able to take care of the little odds and ends of life and still have time left over to devote to worthy volunteer efforts like the planning and execution of the Annual AT UnConference. I been to three of them .. flew roundtrip from Turkey to get to the USA and then rented a car and drove for days and such .. that's why I know that them whut lives close to the center of the USA will be more than happy to make the short trip in order to get some good info and meet lots of folks in the industry. Last year at Albuquerque most of the folks at the Conference was from the Socialist Republic of California .. Alison Kingsbury came from Boston .. and I came from Turkey. Odds are fair to middling that this year the Ol' Limey Troll himself will come all the way from the European Union Province of England. Martin done fell in love with the Grand Canyon but he needs to see the Alamo too. And .. as y'all will learn later when Chris lays out all the details, the AT UnConferences are big time different from others .. there is no profit for any organization .. they don't cost folks any money ceptin for their lodging and chow .. and their bar bill if'n they're inclined to imbibe now and then, which everybody oughta do any way cause Red Wine is so therapeutic the AMA is afraid the wineries are gonna put the quacks outta business. > Although if she ASKED I'm sure she'd get folk to volunteer to help her. She done said she was gonna do it .. and said she had some volunteers all lined up to help. I know of two now .. one lives in Houston and the other lives up the road in Conroe .. met those two fine ladies last time I swung through Houston. Its logical that the UnConferences are held in the middle states of the USA .. makes it easier for folks to get there. Hold one in New England or the Northwest and its tough to get there. > K See you at the 2007 AT UnConference soon as Chris and her group decide where they wanna hold it. Oughta be a good turnout for sure .. and we always have a lotta fun. Plus .. for them that sell products and such all expenses are tax deductable. Today, I tried to create a folder of past UnConference photos in the list archive .. but either the archieve is crazy today or my PC is .. only half of them would post so I quit. Likely it is that its my PC. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
