Guest guest
Have any of you guys messed with listening or doing pod casts? They're a new internet tool where you can do a " lecture " on something or an interview with someone and then put it on your website and people can download it on their i-pods (or equivalent) for later listening (instead of setting aside some time for a specifically scheduled radio- type broadcast). I've seen some articles saying it was a great marketing tool. But I'm someone who, when away from the computer (like in my garden), the last thing I want is something - or someone - yapping away in my ear. I like my quiet time - besides, I'd rather listen to the birds, etc. Has anyone used it -- have any comments/opinions on it? Thanks! Hi I download Discovery News to listen to on train journeys but wouldn't listen to it " just during the day " . I've not seen any web sites who's pod cast interests me enough to (other than above) but if I found one, I would. I have my 'pod with me all the time when I'm out an about, so yes, but the interview would need to be interesting rather than marketing. Guest guest
I did happen too this technology being used this last week. It was being used for more nefarious purposes, to edit and record voice recordings and send them out giving a false impression to anyone who received the podcast of the person the y were listening to. It made me sad to see such devious use of this technology, and as if to confirm it, the very next day I came across another almost exact same use of the technology, it makes me sad. I want to go back to believing what I see and hear, not this not knowing if what I hear is just an edited piece of manipulative junk. Sorry to rave, it hurt.
