Not sure how to say this without upsetting somebody .. so I'll just do

my best to not upset and if someone is upset .. I think maybe they

oughta not be. ;-)

This shindig should be held where the majority of the folks want it to

be held .. that is, the majority of the folks who might come.

We have 19 votes so far on the location. But I wonder if those 19

folks are really considering attending. Would it not be wise to have

some kind of indication in the poll on who would maybe come? My

decision will not be based on where its held .. I'll be there be it in

Austin or San Antonio .. or even Cut & Shoot .. so it matters not a

lot to me.

The folks who might come .. or who have even said to themselves that

it would be nice to come and they might try to come .. are the folks

who might oughta be deciding where it should be held .. make sense?

Wherever we go .. they gotta have a decent Botanical Garden .. the one

in Albuquerque was a BIG disappointment!

I visited there once and it didn't matter to me how large it was ..

its a glorious part of American (Texacan) history and well worth

seeing .. there are vibes in such places. ;-)

And the River Walk is worth seeing too.

If those who might be coming to the shindig have a preference of where

its held then that's fine .. I'll be there .. but maybe there is a gap

in the logic if 11 folks vote for Austin and only 4 of them have given

any thought to possibly attending then Austin and San Antonio are tied

if the 4 who voted for San Antonio are planning to come. ;-)

[Dave:] Good point. I haven’t voted because I know I can’t afford the

trip.

Oh shoo Kathleen...I'll carry you for a bit and then you carry me for a bit.

Who needs a car? LOL!!

and are we sure about the dates? Whooowheeee Butch is gonna be there?

I love San Antonio and Austin or rather my stomach does. :) Either place is

fine with me! Add some olfactory enjoyment! And I get to write this off as a

business expense! Life is good!

I am interested in going depending on dates, I haven't seen them tho

they may have been posted. I was one of those that voted for Houston,

based on the fact that I will probably drive from St. Louis. I thought

Houston was closer. I just looked at a map and Houston Austin more or

less the same. I could probbly drive to any of them. It will give

that teenage boy a chance to practice his highway driving skills,

(Ahhhhgh). Oh, yes I would bring the kids. Butch they are good with

kids and could watch your Prince! Boy almost 15 thinks he's a player,

please, and girl almost 10 who everyone calls Little Lynn The

Directress. Can't imagine where that comes from.

Again I will go depending on dates.

I did vote! However, unless the conference is held in December I can't

attend (anywhere). I'm visiting USA in December and will be staying

just outside Houston. I'm hoping to meet up with some of the members

of this group so please feel free to email me direct and we might all

meet up.

I'm also going to spend a few days in Oklahoma.

If I can't get to the conference/unconference have a great time!

Hey Merinda

I can almost guarantee that it won't be held in December or November. During

that time of year everyone is busy with Christmas shopping/selling and

wouldn't have time for a conference.

But there are a lot of folk around that area when you visit, so I'm sure

you'll get to meet some of the wonderful folk then.
