Guest guest
Hey y'all, Everybody gotta do what they think is right for them self. > Since I'm going to be here in summer anyway .. I've no preference .. but > anyone coming in from out of state may want to wait until mid autumn > cause it gets HOT down in TX in summer - and I mean REALLY HOT *lol* It ain't like we gonna be sitting outside in the sun .. folks in the South are used to hot, humid weather and they have something called air conditioning to deal with it. ;-) Gotta get my priorities in order so after 15 September is out for me. Largemouth Bass become active around that time and they continue being so, putting on as much weight as they can, until they start to wind down for the long Winter slow down. It just wouldn't be right if they are active and I am inactive during that time. When I return to the USA, it is not my intent to be a part of the honchoship of an AT Organization .. I am planning to go back into pro Bass Fishing and follow the tournament trail. ;-) > *Smile* > Chris (list mom - waiting for some calls back from hotels) > http://www.alittleolfactory.com Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com >> Hi Listmates, >> Were dates decided...is so when are the dates of the conference in Texas? >> >> Thanks >> :)Paula
Guest guest
3 seasons y'all got baby: hot, hotter, and hot & humid!! Kathleen, I was hoping for November!! I voted for Austin 'cuz I've never been there but I could be easily persuaded to go back to San Antonio. Guest guest
Dear Kathleen, Count me in. I vote for Austin when the University of Texas at Austin football team is away from home for football games in the fall, and not to coincide with graduation in the late spring or school starting in early August. Each of these times raises the costs of hotel rooms greatly (and this also goes for San Antonio). Guest guest
I agree with Butch. We have air conditioning!! I'm a native Texan and I don't think it's that crazy bad. Cause truthfully, anytime in Texas it's going to be hot!!! Heck, we're already getting 80-90 degree weather down here now with the intermittent cold chills!! Yes, June and July do get hot as it does in the rest of the country, but probably not as bad as Arizona or other desert places!! Unless we plan to have the speakers outside, air conditioning does wonders!! Guest guest
Hey Dale, Well, if it IS in November, I'll think of you while I'm doing the Birthday thing. I've not had a real birthday bash since I was about 6 so I'm going to be doing it up right. Leaving the hubby and kids at home and tearing up the strip! ROFL! Actually, my idea of tearing of the strip is going to go cuddle a lion cub, go to the star trek thingee, gambling like a fool, MAYBE having a drink on me birthday (okay maybe TWO ;-) ), eating at nice restaurants and shopping. I was BORN an old fuddy duddy so I'm entering my prime! LOL! Personally I'd like to do San Antonio, for more than just the alamo, They have a long walk (Done either early or very late in the day) that's supposed to take 90 minutes through historical areas. But I've nothing against Austin either so I'm happy either way. I got a couple of more things to check out (like a ghost tour, Stacey like those ;-) ) before I'm fully committed to my vote.
