Guest guest
Butch, I use a specialist for the surgery to put the implants in. His fee is around $1,200 per tooth. Plus he charges extra for the extraction of the bad tooth. Sedation ... with a pill to make you sleepy and some gas while the procedure is being done is the only way to go IMHO. I had 4 done at once and was out for the whole procedure. For this the dentist was able to make a temp that was affixed to other teeth so that I was not walking around toothless. My last implant was a molar .. upper right .. I was without a tooth for 5 months ... I just did not smile really big. My cosmetic dentist charges $1,000 or so for the crown to go on the implanted post. All of my crowns with the exception of the top 6 in the front are now the more pricey " glass " ones vs the porcelain crowns. I had a gold one once way in the back - gold is cheaper then porcelain or it was when I got that crown. I would not recommend a gold one where it could be seen. -- Be Well, Bobbi Guerra The Purple Sage ~ Bath & Body www.thepurplesage.com
