Guest guest
Ien what were the ingredients of the serum you are trying to reproduce? My thought for a vitamin c serum is really simple.. and you make in small batches..> Thanks, I really appreciate the input. I just would not get around to making something fresh every week! I do not pretend I could reproduce the quality of the commercial product, I just want to get some of the aspects right, for a lot less money. The main ingredients I want to incorporate are powdered Camu Camu, that is for the vit. C content, and liquid Sangre de Drago. I believe it is the stuff that does the magic on the age spots. There is also a bunch of exotic oils and quite frankly I don't see why Helichrysum in rosehip oil would not do a similar thing. Meanwhile, I just had the almost brilliant idea of just stirring some Drago drops into my regular moisturizer from the health food store. I am at the bottom of the jar anyway. I use aloe and green tea by Alba organics, 3 oz for about $20. That's more like it. It actually blended in very nicely! So I may just end up not trying to re-invent the wheel and use that as a base, for now. Maybe I'll start playing with making my own skin products next fall, we have lots of soap makers in the region already. You guys are such a contagious bunch! It is garden and herb gathering season and the land is calling. This is the moment to harvest Oregon Grape root, it will be a new addition to the simples collection.
