Guest guest
I think I have allergies. I'm not sure. symptoms, burning eyes, leaks a little moisture and sinus headaches. I've not had allergies before (except for bee stings, minor, but that's another story) but as my mother lovingly and cheerfully pointed out, I'm getting old. So. Anyone got any recommendations? Please, don't tell me to go soak my head... I get that advice from Himself! ROFL! K -- Cheers! Guest guest
Dear Kathleen, One thing that happens with the approach of older age is that our adrenal glands get tired. This is especially true of peri-menopausal women. Your whole hormonal system is shifting and the adrenals are working overtime. Weak adrenal glands can be one factor in allergies starting up at this time of life. Any oils, herbs, or supplements that support and nourish the adrenal glands may be helpful. Try strong daily tea made with nettles and parsley. I know this one well. Increasing discomfort when I was working with soil (sneezing, running nose, scratchy throat) was one of the many small complaints that I used to have in the dark days B.A. (I'll save the rest for my ad) Good luck with it! Guest guest
My, I reckon you must have a beautiful Herbarium or garden. I picture a slow combustion stove with plenty of brews steeping away. I like what you write, thank you for sharing with us. My own Adrenal Glands seem to be stuck on full throttle, open, I am strung like a telephone wire, even to the point of throwing up today, It feels like an ulcer is coming on it is so strongly affecting me. I feel like I am on a rollercoaster ride in the stomach with butterflies, my hearing is at full listening capacity. DO you have any recommendations for me to try. With many thanks. Guest guest
Licorice root is a wonderful herb for nourishing the adrenals and has worked wonders for me in the past. It is interesting that you mention ulcers, too, b/c deglycyrrhizinated licorice is also an herb indicated for ulcers. Sounds like you may want to look into this herb to see if it is right for you. Good luck and hope you feel better soon, Debbie TheZentub wrote: > My, I reckon you must have a beautiful Herbarium or garden. > I picture a slow combustion stove with plenty of brews steeping away. > > I like what you write, thank you for sharing with us. > > My own Adrenal Glands seem to be stuck on full throttle, open, I am strung > like a telephone wire, even to the point of throwing up today, It feels > like an ulcer is coming on it is so strongly affecting me. > I feel like I am on a rollercoaster ride in the stomach with butterflies, my > hearing is at full listening capacity. > DO you have any recommendations for me to try. > > With many thanks. > Leslie
