Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, Do you know approximately how many people have shown interest in attending the conference? They offer many different rates depending on what type of room you want. I just called them and the group rate office was closed. Their hours are from 9 am to 5 pm. I left a message and was assured a call back in the am. They are not the cheapest hotel, but their rates include many amenities including 3 buffet meals a day, the use of the pool area, which includes a huge hot tub, sauna and gorgeous Olympic size pool. They offer spa services that are very reasonable. There is usually some type of entertainment and all types of FREE classes offered that are included in your room rate. The classes that were offered while I was there were: Fitness Run, Dao-Yin, Labyrinth Walk, Nia Technique, Breathwork, Mat Pilates, Yoga for Strengthening, Native Plant Tour, Zen Meditation , and Walk & Sing. For groups of 15 or more they offer FREE conference rooms of varying sizes and other amenities including group room rates. I will let you know what I find out as soon as I get the info. Guest guest
I think that it is ironic that one of the poll sponsors is Young living oils *S* I went on voted on the 2 dates that I can attend, & I think that the place Ro is talking about would be great depending on the price. Even if it is a " little " over you can figure that meals can be pretty expensive. God Bless You & Yours, Georgia (hahagranny) ~~~God's answers are wiser than our prayers~~~ ~~~Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away~~~ ~~~A friend hears the song in my heart & sings it to me when my memory fails~~~ ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Hi Georgia, The voting has it going to take place, the last weekend in August. The voting is very close. In fact, if I had voted for the 10th as well as the weekend of the 24th it would be a dead heat. ;-) I've been to two of these summer conferences and both were a blast and they get better each year. Last year we had bottles of mixed eo's to test our noses (I SUCKED, but Butch and Allison was pretty good at it), as well as samples of other peoples work. There were lively discussions on Aromatherapy as well as off topic conversations. We even had skunk kittens to look at, Raki (courtesy of Butch) from Turkey to taste (of which I took a delicate little sip, it was very nice, especially if one is a licorice fan), I gave an impromptu beading lesson. Stacey went on a ghost tour, the food was really good and everyone seemed to have a great time. I missed the garden the next morning, but Butch said it wasn't much. I'm hoping this one in Austin will be better. I surely hope you can make it, because it is a lot of fun and some of us actually learned a thing or two. ;-) K On 4/26/07, hahagranny <hahagranny wrote: > > . > > > -- Cheers! Guest guest
Oh goodie, we can have an early 35th b-day party for me too! *Smile* Chris (list mom - who is getting old - and NEEDS to go make coffee instead of answering e-mails with a sleepy brain - already offended my mentor this morning *lol* Kathleen Petrides wrote: > Hi Georgia, > > The voting has it going to take place, the last weekend in August.
