By the way, I know this will sound like I'm parroting that old

advertisement of " Don't mess with Mother Nature " -- but I've learned

not to underestimate her! She's a powerful source and has remarkable

powers of recuperation. I've had the opportunity to observe a lot in

the past seven plus years.

Someone bought some property not far from ours about the same time we

bought ours. They cleared the land, and then something happened -- I'm

not quite sure what, I suspect they ran out of money, got a divorce,

who knows? But nothing else was done after that initial push.

It's amazing how that piece has regrown. You can't tell it was ever

cleared.

Of course this is probably a reflection of the area of the earth of

where I live and our local weather patterns, etc. -- the birds that

come along and leave seeds, deer and whatever that do the same, and the

amount of rain, etc. But it's been a fascinating thing to observe.
