Guest guest
Hello, I recently asked a question about the quality of my water, if anyone knew what it might be causing my water to become viscous and jelly slime like if left for anytime. The dishcloths and such go slimy if not soaked in vinegar overnight and the dishes have to be dried or they go slimy with water hanging off them like clear nasal fluid. I decided to ring our local water company and was surprised when they responded promptly asking for name and address to come and check the water. I sent these off promptly. Within hours the representative for the company was here checking the water from both inside and outside the house. To my surprise the fellow kept repeating each time he did the test that this could not be their water, the test should be going pink/purple. After a while he ran out of tablets in his lit and said he was most perplexed and called out a senior management representative. Between the two of them they repeated the test several times and released the main water supply and flushed with he test still failing. They then went down the road tot he junction and opened the valves thee and flushed still with no result. Finally after a couple of hours of flushing they did one more thing and a very slight pink hue came through. I believe the manager put a chemical in at the end he was at to see if it came through to our end. The supervisor did not come back but the other rep told me he would have to do more testing with more specialized equipment that they would have to bring in. Until then I should make sure I only have boiled water. Chlorine and fluoride should have showed up in the water at the very least being treated before coming to the consumer but this was not reacting to anything. Will let you know what it is when they find out. Cheers. Leslie
