Guest guest
I would like to buy some Sangre de Drago and trust the people on this list to be knowledgable with regard to reputable sellers. Can anyone advise who sell it or where I should order it from. btw. I've read up on its properties and uses but I am wondering what is the scent like. Much thanks. Guest guest
Carol, I don't know what you have read, but please beware of sales hype. I know that this extract can be a skin sensitiser. It is not used in properly made cosmetics by the big boys for that very reason. It is also a relatively crude botanical extract from a species of trees with a reputation for causing skin damage. It has been promoted in the past by some well known aromatherapy figures who simply did not know that it can be dangerous and were too lazy to research that aspect before promoting it. Then others with no training in natural medicine, hopped on the band wagon promoting it as " helping indigenous people " , but not telling you how it was used by them and what problems it caused. BEWARE! Where can I find out about it? <It is not used in properly made cosmetics by the big boys for that very reason. However, that is not the same as daily use. <It has been promoted in the past by some well known aromatherapy figures who simply did not know that it can be dangerous and were too lazy to research that aspect before promoting it. BEWARE!> I have actually wondered about the practice of swallowing capsules of it, when indigenous use was drops diluted in water, sipped during the day. Repeating sincere request for more information. And I shall continue to put a drop on my toothpaste. It does great things for my gums. Guest guest
Carol Ann, Sangre de Drago doesn't have much of a scent. It is extremely astringent. What did you want to use it for?
