Guest guest
Hello, I am seeing a trend in the herb world that's really disturbing me. There are a few, mainly one herb company positioning themselves for Amazon.com kind of security. They sell herbs retail and wholesale and have a fabulous marketing campain and deep pockets. Sounds great right, wholesale prices, but wait! With that kind of power they can negotiate absurdly low prices. The consumer becomes infatuated they can buy huge quantities of Nettles Super cheap. The more they buy the bigger the discount. The wild crafters, small herb stores independant and divese become slowly extinct. Gone are the community centered herb resources. The plants have to be hauled in from lands far far away. Plant matter is taken for granted herbs are waisted on the shelves. It's a lot like the Free Trade issues. It sounds good but the destruction, is it reversable. I feel like the character in the Horton hears the who. Yelp!
