In fact .. she sounds like a kook .. and a bit like a BIG PHONY who used to come on all the lists .. claimed to be a Naturopath Doctor and such .. and she made up phony personalities to support her ridiculous statements .. to include one who was supposed to be an Israeli doctor .. she was Arabic (Lebanese) living in Canada and claiming to be running Aroma Tours to areas in Lebanon that are known to have no aromatics .. but lots of Terrorist training camps. She created an AT Course .. some took it .. it was absolutely nothing! Total garbage. She claimed to be a graduate of a university there .. we contacted the university .. there was no such facility as the one she claimed to have graduated from. Her name (said she) was Nicole .. many folks will remember her. ;-) Might be you need to tell this kook to put up or shut up .. folks who make claims and can't support them .. then fall back on all their formal medical training .. are normally idiots or liars. > 2) I checked my Plant Aromatics. Almost .. maybe 99% so .. but there are a couple of exceptions .. Sweet Birch and Wintergreen are two that come to mind. But they are potential problems for anyone .. pregnant or not. And one should pay attention to herbs .. not just essential oils. There are few of them that can be considered harmful .. same applies to essential oils. From Martin .. http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/herbspreg.html http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/eosafety.html http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/incorrectsafety.htm http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/pennyroy.html > Thank you, Welcome fer'shur .. and y'all keep smiling. :-) > Nika > (no longer from Moscow but from Akron, OH) Good show .. Guest guest
LOL...I actually have a person here in South Florida very much like the woman Butch describes...she claims to have a Ph.D. in anthropology, claims to be a neurosurgeon, claims to have flown special ops in Viet Nam, was a guest at the Hanoi Hilton and was rescued...all so she can impress people with her knowledge of essential oils/aromatherapy - which is just a bogus as the rest of her stories. The scary part is she " graduated " a program here and is now " certified " , opened up her own " school " and " healing center " and is now practicing on the public and teaching people her b.e. (bovine excrement). She and her partner and the partners in the school they went to are part of a movement here in Florida to regulate essential oils and require licensing for practitioners and distributors. Guest guest
Hi Butch, Butch Owen wrote: > Absorption (with a couple of rare exceptions) is a Fig Newton in the minds of some who are too hard headed to allow truth to absorb. [Nika] With Martin's very generous permission, I translated and posted on my community a fare number of his articles, including the one about absorption and the one about incorrect safety. So it's all out there, available. But those with naturopath diplomas, I guess, know everything better. > I have no idea .. but this person doesn't sound very well informed about safe use of EO. In fact .. she sounds like a kook .. and a bit like a BIG PHONY who used to come on all the lists .. [Nika] Sounds very similar. Except that this lady is a Russian émigré living in Israel. The attitude seems very much the same. I don't care what her credentials are, and I don't care if they are real or not. But I certainly do NOT want any incorrect information spread. Especially when it's about safety, and pregnant women's safety at that. > Sweet Birch and Wintergreen are two that come to mind. But they are potential problems for anyone .. pregnant or not. [Nika] Exactly. Not safe for others therefore not safe for pregnant women. > And one should pay attention to herbs .. not just essential oils. There are few of them that can be considered harmful .. same applies to essential oils. [Nika] Unfortunately, I don't personally know much about herbs. And they are not very widely used in Russia so I wouldn't worry about them too much. Those that are used, our doctors are pretty well versed in them. > >From Martin .. > http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/herbspreg.html > http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/eosafety.html > http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/incorrectsafety.htm > http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/pennyroy.html [Nika] I have 3 of the 4 you cited already translated and posted.
