Guest guest
Haven't had the time recently to do the research, but I " heard " one of the theories of the glacier melting is the fact that the volcanic activity under the poles is heating up. Has anyone else heard this? If so, then the main reason is not human causality at all. Anita
Guest guest
Hi Nikki, (did a lotta snipping) > We as humans need to always deliberate, argue and criticize. I hope all folks who or not passive robots see the need to continue to do that. The option to not doing so is to nod our heads like little dogs with lit eyes in the back of a 57' Chevy. Are you suggesting that discussion is a waste time? Would it be wiser to just accept what those on one side of the issue are saying .. and worry about the consequences (environmental and financial) later? Or .. if you (like Jan) have a position that will solve all the problems in a simple manner .. please lay them out .. I'm interested and since we are this thread has lately begun with Global Warming: those who are not interested can just zap it. > My feeling is that we all will go so caught up in the agenda of Global > Warming that when we are done doing that, it will be too late. We > are cocky like that I guess. We think we have that time to lose. I don't know about the cocky stuff .. but I am not inclined to believe all I hear or read .. different opinions of this subject interest me a lot. I know of some other folks who are likewise interested. I doubt that anyone on the list is gonna have a major impact on Global Warming or Climate Change or whatever term is used .. but I think folks on the list should be exposed to various points of view .. it keeps us from being dull critters .. and it is NOT out of line with the subject of natural products. I've not developed a fixed opinion on the issue yet .. but am open to seeing lots of info on both sides of the issue. I do believe that the Global Warming Army is similar to BigPharma .. in many ways. And .. I don't think its too late .. or that Global Warming or Climate Change is the major problem we're facing today. Its rather minor when compared with some others that we can fix .. if we have the national and global will. > Point is, just turn off the lights you don't need on. Ride a bike. > Buy locally. Stop using Bleach., etc, etc. Actually, you will save > money in the long run...... Its not quite that simple .. but doing SOME the above isn't gonna hurt folks if they wanna do it. I don't see a need to do all the above and don't intend to .. I believe that one does not have to practice to be uncomfortable .. they can get it right the first time .. every time. > Can you tell I am passionate about this subject? Guest guest
It doesn't just break down to Soda and Water... They (they dioxins in the bleach) are known respiratory aggravators and also known to effect hormone levels. Read a bit on greenfacts.org for more info... thanks, Nikki On May 10, 2007, at 8:31 AM, L KELLEY wrote: > I don't get the part about not using bleach? It breaks down to soda > and water.
