OT: Giving something back Internet radio reasonable royalties.

Hey guys, I have a friend who is trying to help out independent musicians

and knowledge seekers everywhere. My friend Max Laing is one of the radio

voices for BTO (beyondtheordinary) internet radio station and with a grass

roots (Pun intended) effort we can actually help get the word out there

about big record companies and radio stations trying to smoosh the life out

of the little guys. (I don't even like smooshing bugs so.) Anyway, we've

been given a reprieve until June or July 15th so the government can hear the

people speak. If we all call and say.. Hey what about the little guy, maybe

just maybe we can make it a win-win situation for all. And, besides the

fact that Internet radio allows goofy people like me to have their own radio

stations and actually play music that people know along with songs that they

don't so there's more exposure to more cultural differences, people also get

to listen to something that can take them back to when.. (Whatever time that

is for you... for me it's the 60's, 70's and 80's hair bands.) Folks all

across the US are taking the action I am asking you to take here. It is

painless, cost nothing to accomplish, and it really is for a great cause.

Matter of fact, you don't even have to read them. I recorded the first 4 of

the links contained in the center of this page. Any one of them tells the

story - though each one is a little different. Even if you find that you

don't have the time to help out as the instructions suggest, at least pass

this along to others so that they might get involved too. You all pretty

much know that I simply don't pass along grossly non-relevant email - but

this one is for real and my involvement has given me the inner need to do

what I can in getting the word out the best I can.
