OT: Stolen Valor Special Ops/Black Ops Lady with Ph.D. & Special Ops in F

Its an obvious insult to those who have worked hard to acquire a

degree in this or that .. and unless a person is applying for a

position based on a lie about civilian education .. there is little

one can do except show others that the person is a fraud.

However .. that is no longer the same for wild claims of military

experiences/accomplishments. Was a time when those who had training

in Parachuting, SCUBA, Special Ops, etc., and had seen combat and been

awarded various medals for same .. could do very little but bite our

tongues when we heard folks lying about having similar experiences.

Its obvious to someone who has seen the elephant when someone else

tries to describe an elephant based on having read about elephants in

a book. Sorta like those who write so-called " expert " novels on

Hydrosols and Distillation and such.

There have long been private web sites run by former members of

various Special Operations Groups .. SEAL, Ranger, Special Forces,

Marine Force Recon .. and Veterans/Vietnam Veterans Groups that

tracked/reported on frauds. Two unfortunate things precluded them

from exposing all frauds .. one was inadequate information ..

sometimes due to incomplete military records .. and all they could do

was expose those they identified .. prosecution was not possible

because the only law in place that allowed prosecution of impostors

was the one that pertained to those who wore an unearned Medal of

Honor. That has all changed now due to the efforts of a real Medal of

Honor Winner .. one Colorado Congressman John Salazar ..

Those who claim to have been P.O.W. .. like the phony Ph.D. mentioned,

can easily be tracked. Of course, they might claim that their

position and mission was so sensitive that there is no record of it ..

I've heard many phonies claim that nobody has access to their military

records for such reasons .. all Bovine Excrement .. and especially if

the person was an unwilling guest of the North Vietnamese. Check ..

Yep .. it sounds like a bit of greed .. but she has the potential to

come unraveled if she is persists in her lies .. as a minimum she can

be broadcast world wide as a phony .. that will take the wind out of

her sails and she would then not be in a position to lobby for

anything. Its also possible that she could/would be investigated by

the FBI or various Military Criminal Investigators .. and could be

prosecuted in Federal Court!

Keep in mind that all Special Operations are not Black Ops .. and all

Special Operations folks are not SEAL or Special Forces or Rangers.

Civil-Military Operations, Civil Affairs Operations, Psychological

Warfare Operations and other specialized forms of military expertise

that work hand in hand with the Snake Eaters are also Special

Operations and they are controlled by tSpecial Operations Command.

But one who claims or admits to once having participated in Black Ops

could be putting themselves in harm's way.

But now the rational ones have passed a good law to take care of those

who steal the honor of others.

I believe in Justice and have often gone to extremes to see those who

are deserving of punishment receive same. In March 2005, I was the

victim of an unsavory organization that some folks here would prefer

to not tangle with .. I believe they thought I would not tangle with

them. But I have Turkish attorney friends who had the guts to stick

with me in a battle against them though there was some (maybe not a

lot) of potential risk to doing this .. there still might be to some

degree. Sending my family out of the country was a decision that took

this into consideration. After 2 + years of court hearings I believe

that at the next court hearing .. which I will not attend .. the judge

will probably slam down his gavel right after sending someone to the

slammer for a while. The folks in this organization are not happy now

but they'll be more unhappy when/if that happens. They are not smart

folks .. I believe that if they were smart they would not be in court

now .. and its dumb folks we need to fear most .. the smart folks are

generally pragmatic folks.

I believe that we have the right and the obligation to stand up for

Truth and Justice. We also have the right to turn our heads the other

way if we think the risk is too great. I also believe that one will

feel better about themselves if they decide to take the attitude of

PS: I too have undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology ..

and have dealt with a few Sociopaths during my professional career.

In the future .. I hope to deal with fishing and gardening and raising

my son to have values and beliefs that will allow him to be a good

American and a good Human Being. I want to spend some time in a

Heavenly environment because I've spent enough time in what some (but

not me) might consider as Hell. During my Military career I did my

duty as best I could .. and I stood in awe of many counterparts who

were true heroes who deserved far more recognition than they received.

For a long time I considered my time in the presence of such people

as having been the best years of my life .. then came the birth of my

son (who is also my sun) and I realize that it is now that I am living

the best years of my life. :-)

Butch, this is great information. I can't say in words what it means to me. I

was obviously talking to all the wrong people about this a year ago. Nobody

seemed to know what I could do about it or wanted to get involved. With my

brother preparing for his third tour of Iraq and having done one in Afghanistan

(currently with 1st SF) I took her b.e. very personally. I happened to be at

an event where this woman was carrying the flag in the color guard and could

not think of a way to properly protest her involvement. I stand proudly to

honor our vets but I just had to walk away.

There's so much more b.e. military stories this woman has, I could write a

book. And you guessed it, all her records are gone...some lost in a fire,

others because her assignments were so secret. Oy. And she has told some of

these stories to vets and those currently serving!!!
