If you liked Green Label back then you would have probably like Black

Jack Old No. 7 even more cause back then Green was 80 proof .. Black

Jack was 86 & 90 proof. Now both are 80 proof, as well as the newest

product, " Gentleman Jack. " Difference in the latter is its filtered

through charcoal an additional time. Then they have a " Single Barrel "

product now that is 94 proof.

 

For sipping .. I'll take Gentleman Jack or Wild Turkey Kentucky

Bourbon, which can be obtained in 101 proof.

 

Bit of trivia .. Frank Sinatra was buried with a bottle of Black Jack.

Bet Grandpa was a master. We have an Italian American feller (old man

now) in my small home town that still makes a lotta wine .. he doesn't

sell it but gives a lot away to friends and neighbors.

Fer'shur .. I've gotta lotta catching up on teaching him English again

because he and Tanya are in Russia now and her family speaks only

Russian with him. Yesterday she said she spoke a few words of English

to him and he looked puzzled. ;-)

Yep .. matter of fact. And the older we get .. the smarter they become.

Thank you ma'am .. appreciated it is. I cat napped in a chair last

night for 2-3 hours then got up and started sorting and packing again.

Taking a break (its close to 0230 here now) and will get back to it

in a few. Got a lot to do afore packers arrive on Wednesday morning

... if I left themm they would start slinging things into boxes and

such and when we get to the other end the sorting would be tough. So

all the things that have a place in this or that desk drawer or

whatever, I'm packing and marking the boxes well. Amazing how many

" important " papers and such one can hoard over a period of 19+ years

... 95% of them are not important to me now but I'm still shredding

them .. pain in the butt for me and tough on the doorman who has to

carry bags and bags of shredded papers down to the garbage truck each

night. ;-)
