Guest guest
Dave, I have to agree with your statement below. I am not yet doing CP Soap, so I buy my Goat's milk soap from someone else for the time being. I am not big on FO's (fibromyalgia like your wife) as they tend to overload my sense of smell, but I once bought a mixed bag of GM soap and to my surprise I loved Sweet Pea so much, I ordered a small bottle of the FO. To my surprise again, when I used it in a cream I made - it was so different even though I only used a small amount. I could smell mostly floral, but very different than with the GM Soap. In the soap, it was toned down a lot - a very mellow smell that would really relax me in the shower. Fran I like to mix my milk directly with the lye, because the carmelized sugars add some je-ne-sais-quoi to the aroma of the finished product. _____

You really should try it. ¶ I am not big on FO's (fibromyalgia like your wife) as they tend to overload my sense of smell, but I once bought a mixed bag of GM soap and to my surprise I loved Sweet Pea so much, I ordered a small bottle of the FO. [Dave]: Lots of people totally adore FOs, and I don't have any problem with that. I have never liked perfumes, although I like natural aromas unless they're too heavy - and I can nearly always tell the difference. In general I prefer unscented products, but people mostly prefer scented. My wife really reacts to chemicals, so we use only natural scents around the home. By the way, does anyone else just cringe at those commercials for " scented oil plug-ins " with little fans that scatter those cartoon flowers around your house? I mean, folks, that just makes my skin crawl. If they can sell a piece of dung like that during Judge Judy, why the heck can't they market an inexpensive ultrasonic diffuser (made in America, dammit) for REAL essential oils? We can sell 'em some idiotic, made-in-China, disposable (and guaranteed to break) plastic doodad to fill their house with God-knows-what chemicals, but we can't offer them something that will do the same thing and actually benefit them at the same time??? Toto, please tell me you were just holding the map upside-down...
