Guest guest
Hi Caty: Altho I've never made one, am pretty sure that Tom's of Maine uses 'Propolene Gycol' in their all natural deo. hmmm It tastes sweet and~is or was~used in antifreeze. I'm not a big fan of propolene gycol due to it can cause birth defects in large enough and/or extended doses. Even in animal products we don't use it. Folks in the wildlife industry use it too much. We use 100% Veg. Glycerin instead. It's a tad more expensive, not so you would notice it much, but worth it in my opinion. This might give the slip that you are needing. Veg. Glycerin is a good base for cough syrups, or to add to children's herbal formulas as it adds the sweetness needed for such. This is just my personal opinion, am sure you will receive many others. A combo that you might like to try would be Aloe Gel and Glycerin, preservative recommended, those two together might just do the trick. Good luck with all your creations, deb Food fight?
