Guest guest
Hi to All the 'Happy Gardeners' .!!! My brother was here yesterday and gave me the ultimate complement on my garden.. He comment was .. ' Your garden is sooooooooo lush .. it looks like it is on steroids.!!' He had me laughing .. I thought that was so sweet .. yes, my garden is bursting.. However, I have a question for those that know about Roses. I have a beautiful .. pale yellow rose (very fragrant) .. this year .. 3 suckers .. blood red .. and they are 'climbing rose' variety .. My question.. do I cut the suckers .. (I didn't want to cut them while in bloom) . but .. are they taking the energy from the main 'yellow rose' .?? I know most roses are grafted .. is this why the 'suckers' are a completely different 'color & variety'? Thanks .. and enjoy your garden.!!
