Guest guest
Is there anyone who lives in San Diego, or near San Diego, that could recommend a store that get herbs, oils, incense, etc.. ? Try any health food store, The Black in Ocean Beach, Whole Foods in Hillcrest or La Jolla, Henry's (many locations), or Jimbo's in Del Mar, Carlsbad, 4S Ranch or Escondido. Also check ethnic groceries - I think Woo-Chee Chong's is still around. Asian grocery stores can be a good source of unusual oils; I found mustard oil at an Indian store. Don't forget restaurant supply stores such as Smart & Final. In San Diego County there are many opportunities for wildcrafting, and many resources for learning about it. The county is larger than some states, and we have one of the most diverse set of habitats of any area in North America. Botánicas and Mexican markets are a good place for some herbs. Also look for farmer's market. There's a weekly one in Escondido, and I think there's one in Hillcrest or the Adams Ave. area. Check the San Diego Reader (free) for reviews and ideas. There are too many small specialty shops to know them all. But you're in the midst of a paradise of resources.
