Guest guest
A few months ago Butch was talking about an implant he was getting.... How did that go Butch???? The reason I'm asking, is that one of my teeth has been hurting like h*ll (not now though). I finally made it to the dentist to find out the costs of a root canal and cap (YIKES! $1500!!!!) I don't have dental coverage to help me cover all the costs yet, and am wondering if there is something herbally that I could do to maintain the status quo until I am eligible for dental coverage at work (approx 6 mo). I'm thinking that if I make absolutely sure that the tooth is clean every night before bed, do a mouth rinse with oregano eo mix with water... that that may help me along.... any thoughts at what else I may do? Herbal supplements or rinses to help my situation? Many thanks in advance Shelley

I have this to share: after five root canals and several extractions not counting wisdom teeth, but only three cavities ever in my adult teeth, I stopped using commercial toothpaste and started making my own. I have had zero repeat ZERO dental problems in the nearly 20 years since then. Guest guest
Myrrh. I wouldn't rinse with Oregano. Couldn't PAY me to rinse with Oregano, I'm a wimp and don't like pain... forget the Oregano and try Myrrh.... It is THE Oils for mouth problems. I have used Tea Tree in the past and that's okay if you like swirling something that tastes like turpentine and lingers for hours... in other words, not recommended. Myrrh also leaves something to be desired when it comes to taste, however, as mentioned, it is the King, Queen and God of oils recommended for mouth probbies. Guest guest
Myrrh, even powdered, can't be beat. I had a very sore throat and gargled with the powder in water and I could tell with in an hour that it was working. The next morning it was if I had never had a sore throat. I make a soap that has peppermint essential oils in it and that with the powdered myrrh to brush my teeth that the infections are no more. My teeth feel so clean now. Not the best of taste but it works so well, less plaque too. Zo >> Myrrh. I wouldn't rinse with Oregano. Myrrh eo... perhaps 9 parts myrrh and 1 part Clove... Myrrh for healing, clove for pain deadening. I would use Myrrh Hydrosol as a mouthwash... perhaps blended w/ Tea Tree hydrosol... and contrary to every safety rule I know, I'd use the blend of eo's directly on/around the sore tooth. I've had two friends use this to delay getting the work done for months... Guest guest
I can speak on his with some experience. I had cysts that ate through my upper sinus down through my jaw and came dripping out my teeth. After many thousands of dollars of dental work the dentist finally said, NO more. Your teeth look great now but they will be gone soon, they couldn't drain the cysts as hoped by removing a couple of teeth. I let it go and within months they had started to fall apart. I now have my new denture plates with just my front lower teeth left, I did cry so much, I had beautiful teeth. Took al long time to get in to govt dentist, took referral from doctor in the end The dentist asked me what I had been using for pain and to help. I said just pure cinnamon oil. He told me it is the best of all the antimicrobials and also a good local, an excellent choice for dental hygiene he said. The only thing he wondered about was the cost, how could I afford cinnamon oil? I explained I had my own successful company and business before having to stop to become full time carer for my mate who would not be here if he didn't have a friend to help him through. At that moment, everything changed. The govt health sys which had treated me like a scab and sponge suddenly made me priority for appointments and all that. It was just that being a carer I too am on a pension now and all the things that go with, sad though that equality isn't even found in the services that provide for the least able to provide for self I had been to specialist months previously and he had told me there was nothing to be done, just keep using the heroin or cocaine whichever I am using, it is working. I was flabbergasted, that he even suggest that I was on these drugs, reckoned he could tell by my pain threshold. Turns out it was the oils doing the trick. The lavender in the nasal cavity has an effect that doctors see as being just like coc or heroin, interesting me thinks. .. - " Shelley " <bbubbles Friday, June 15, 2007 10:46 AM Revisiting tooth issues... herbal, eo remedies? >A few months ago Butch was talking about an implant he was getting.... > How did that go Butch???? > > The reason I'm asking, is that one of my teeth has been hurting like > h*ll (not now though). Guest guest
sorry to be a little off topic. My myrrh is somewhat thick and even hard in places. What would I do to soften this, just place the bottle into some warm to hot water or is there something I use to thin it. thanks Leslie - " Kathleen Petrides " <WoobeyQueen Friday, June 15, 2007 3:21 PM Re: Revisiting tooth issues... herbal, eo remedies? > Myrrh.
