Guest guest
Okay, I did something really stoopid (not stupid) STOOPID. I got sick a few weeks back which turned into bronchitis. I've been so busy and was moving into my new space so all my essential oils were packed up. I was getting so sick that I went to the clinic and they put me on those dreaded antibiotics. I normally don't because I'm allergic to most of them anyway. So I got on them and got really crazy busy and forgot to take them a few days, took them a couple of days and then forgot. My co-worker got sick and then I caught the same frickin' bronchitis again and felt really bad yesterday. I was too embarassed to go back to the clinic and have to get more antibiotics and I hate the things anyway, not mentioning the damage I'm doing with them. So I remember this University of Maryland study with Eucalyptus, Pine and Lemon EOs on acute bronchitis, so I have my oils unpacked. I made the blend with Eucalyptus - Blue Gum, Black Spruce and Lemon. Today, I feel much better and my cough has gone from coughing every couple of minutes to hardly at all. This is the second day I've used it, doing it every 4-6 hours. Other than being a little weak, my lungs are clear and I'm coughing up very little phlegm. I guess that'll teach me a lesson because I usually treat all my colds and such with EOs. I haven't had bronchitis in a long time, so this is a new blend for me. Guest guest
Good for you, Michelle!! Now can you tell me the % of each EO and did you " sniff " them every 4 to 6 hours? Long deep breaths?? I am feeling a bit congested myself and can whip this up if you add a little more detail!! I still have some of those really neat personal diffusers someone here purchased and we were able to share in the savings . . . sounds like something I need to carry with me right now. -Helen So I remember this University of Maryland study with Eucalyptus, Pine and Lemon EOs on acute bronchitis, so I have my oils unpacked. Guest guest
Hi Helen, I have a 5 ml bottle and I put in equal proportions so 30% of each and it worked just fine. I took long deep inhales and I will admit that I put a drop on my tongue. Today is the second day and I cleared away a lot of phlegm this morning, so my lungs are clear and I have hardly coughed at all. I also have no more of that spacey fatigue I had been feeling and am more alert today. I have decreased my intake to every 6 hours. Feel better.
