Hi everybody,

Someone just told me about this group and you sound like my kinda people. I'm

the owner of A Wild Soap Bar and I've been making natural bar soap for over 12

years. I have a deep interest in native plants and herbalism. Our little soap

factory is located next to the small log cabin home we built near Austin, TX

where we live on 20 wild and wooded acres. Although we're a bit waterlogged

right now, life is pretty good.

This issue of typosquatting definitely hits home and I'm glad to have a name for

it now. I recently discovered that a " friend " of mine was using 2 very similar

sounding domain names to re-route traffic to her site which also sells handmade

soap. Imagine my utter and total surprise (followed by sadness and anger) when

I found out! Talk about bein burned!!!

www.wildtexassoapbar.com (A Wild Texas Soap bar was our former business name)

At www.namedroppers.com, you can type in words in your URL and get a list of all

registered domain names that are similar plus suggestions for URLS you might

want to purchase to protect yourself.

cheers,

maggie hanus, soap bartender
