Naturally Grown Bitter Orange Neroli Blossom Hydrosol - from one of the

oldest family run distilleries in Spain.

Certified Organic Rose Hydrosol - from one of the most respected family

owned distilleries in Bulgaria whose rose oil has been featured in Fifi

award winning perfumes.

Please note that this year's rose crop was hit hard by bad weather, in

both Turkey and Bulgaria. The production yield was very low. Apparently

this will be our last opportunity in 2007 to offer rose hydrosol at any

kind of special pricing, as our costs from the distillers are increasing

significantly.

Hydrosols are a valuable by-product of the distillation process which

produces the precious essential oils of a plant. They contain the oil

soluble chemicals found in the essential oil as well as water soluble

aromatic chemicals, which are not found in the essential oil.

Hydrosols are far less concentrated than essential oils and are safer

and gentler to use than the essential oils, but they do contain

microscopic amounts of the essential oils. They are wonderful for many

cosmetic applications. For example, it is much gentler and more

effective than many commercial skin toners.

Hydrosols can be the ingredient used in the water phase of lotion

making. Blended with various powdered clays, they make wonderful facial

masks. During hot summer days hydrosols can be placed into a spritzer

bottle and used liberally to keep skin cool, plump and supple. They can

be used as a top off in formulating fine perfumes and colognes.
