Susan Thank you ma'am ..the place is what we both always wanted. :-) Yo Chris, > Welcome home, podner! Thankee ma'am .. gud it is to be back in the Land of the Big PX. ;-) > *Smile* > Chris (list mom) > http://www.alittleolfactory.com Grinning like Cheshire Cats we are. :-) Hey Graham, > Hey Butch WB Thankee sir. Hope you and yours are doing well out in Hot Aridzona. If you get a chance to come East stop by and we'll have an English Bitter (sold here in Paris) and some Catfeesh and Chips. ;-) > Graham Sorenson > http://TheGuideToAromatherapy.com <http://theguidetoaromatherapy.com/> PS: Folks who have not yet visited Graham's web site (link above) oughta consider doing so .. a wealth of AT/EO info can be found there. Hi Jan, > Hey Butch!! So glad you're back! I don't post much, but always read messages. I've missed your musings. Jan G Thank you ma'am for the kind words .. happy I am to read them. :-) Hey Kelli, > Butch, It's good to 'hear' your voice again! I am so happy for you and your family. Thank you ma'am for the kind words .. great to be back it is and Gud Lawd Willing I'll be a bit more active on the list. I'm still spending a lotta time outside .. building a big mulch pile now .. planning a large organic garden in the Spring .. a quarter acre or so. Neighbor says he'll come over and plow/disk up the ground for me when I'm ready. Told Tanya we're gonna need two big freezers and a lotta canning jars come summer and that makes her happy too. :-) Got plans for a separate herb garden and I think I'll start some of them inside early and move'em out later. Have 6 nice blueberry bushes and some blackberry vines now .. feller I got the place from said the blueberries produced like crazy in years past but a freeze got most of the blooms this year .. the blackberries are still producing. Got some apple, peach and pear trees on the back lot and the same freeze got them this year. Having some 25 & 50 kilo drums shipped from the store in Friendsville .. we always have lots of them and give'em away to anyone who wants same .. I buy many essential oils and all hydrosols in those drums. Come Spring, if I think we're gonna get hit by Jack Frost I'll put them around the fruit trees and bushes and burn a buncha brush in'em .. ashes from brush will smolder all night .. home made smudge pots. Might not work but I'll give it a good try. This long explanation is sorta saying .. at least for the time being, I'll not be devoting as much time to the list as I used to. ;-) > Kelli > Kachina Herbs > (formerly Macha02012 on this list) Hey Rosanne, > Hey Butch Man ~~~ How goes things in De Bronx? You need to bring yourself down to Tennessee for a little bitta Catfeesh, Hush Puppies, Fried Green Maters and Sweet Ice Tea. ;-) > It is great to see you back on line. I know how busy you must be .. settling in and all. Thankee ma'am and right you are .. busy as a one laig man in a butt kicking contest I am. ;-) > Welcome home, to you and the family.!! Sounds like a beautiful spot you found there.! Thanks much .. we love the area and serious I am about you oughta come down this way .. that goes for all the gud friends on this list. Suthran Hospitality is alive and well here and y'all will be welcomed like Black Eye Peas on New Year Day. > Aromatically, > Rosanne > ~~ SunRose Aromatics, LLC ~~_http://www.sunrosearomatics.com_ > Essential Oils * Carrier Oils * Shea Butter * * * Check for our Internet Specials!!! **** Wholesale / Retail **** Again .. I thank you all for the kind and warm welcome notes. If I missed answering anyone (don't think I did) it was certainly not intentional .. and to those who wrote off line .. I'll be replying today. Its a bit after noon here now and Tanya has been patiently waiting for me to help open a few more boxes and shift some furniture around. ;-) Also gotta get at some weed eating and hedge trimming cause a retired military buddy (who also worked with me after retirement in Turkey) is coming up from Georgia on Saturday .. bringing a truck load of goodies I've had stored in his shed for a number of years. When Vern gets here we'll be busy doing this and that ... talking old times and wetting a line in Kentucky Lake .. so odds of me getting much work done then are pretty slim. ;-) Any of you folks into the raising of registered .. or pure blood line .. Golden Retrievers and/or Black Labradors .. lemme know if you have some pups ready to sell. I'm needing one each Golden and one each Black Lab. Alexander is dawg crazy and all younguns need a dawg .. I reckon two are better than one as they can keep each other company when the family is not around .. I always had two dawgs when I was in the USA. Had a Brittany kennel when I left Georgia in 1988 .. great dawgs they are .. sweet and feisty and generally have no genetic physical problems .. but I think Goldens and Black Labs are more suitable for growing up with little younguns. I'd like to take dawgs from a shelter and would do so if it were just for me .. but that is a big gamble when one is getting pets for a small child. Knowing the genetic background of a dog is very important information if one wants to have some assurance of their future behavior. Not so important for a cat .. I'll pick up a couple of kitty cats from the local shelter .. but I need a pure line in the puppy dawgs. I've checked around here and nobody is raising pure-breed Goldens or Black Labs so it looks like I'll have to bring them in from outside. I've had a Black Lab before .. loving critters they are fer'shur. Feller got a place near us has a Golden he raised with a kitty .. they sleep together still. Scout don't like delivery trucks and mail carriers .. don't even like wild critters to come onto her place but she has started coming over to our place dang near every day .. Alexander and Scout took to each other immediately. Scout weighs around 70 pounds and loves to have Alexander waller around on her back .. he sees her coming across the field (tail wagging) and he starts running out to greet her. I reckon Scout is not a normal name for a female dawg .. but that's her name anyhow. ;-) Y'all have a gud'un .. and keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com <http://www.av-at.com/> ... who has traded in his coats and ties for sawed off jeans and suspenders and is still undergoing a rehabilitation/reeducation process while transforming from an International Ex-Pat to a Dyed In The Wool, Down Home, Gud Ol' Boy, Tennessee Hillbilly. ;-)
Guest guest
Butch a friend from another list invited me here last year because I wanted to try to make a liquid soap for my dogs, which I still need help with. She did not know I knew of you from another list a long time ago. I was so happy to have found you to send folks to again. My puter crashed and when I got back up and running I couldn't find some of the old groups, one of which you were on. I tried finding you back then, but couldn't and thought I lost ya forever till I came here. Then my puter crashed again! It's a year later already. The Oregano oil I got from you and had my entire family get from you a few years back is still going strong! Great, great quality oil! You were in Turkey and shipping to Virginia then. I didn't order in huge quantity, I sent people to you so you wouldn't recognize me anyway I just wanted to say hi, and thank you for that oil and doing what you could to keep the FDA from regulating this oil!!! bt' -- In , " Butch Owen " <butchowen wrote: > > Howdy again y'all,
Guest guest
Butch about the dogs, I have to agree with you that pets are so good for children, and their parents! Labs can be so sweet. I can't help you with any breeder recommendations because we were given ours at the farmers market. Just for the laugh, you should imagine her, mostly black with some chocolate highlights and a mix of [at least] Lab, border collie, and Basset Hound. She is Lab length with Basset legs and height. She is the sweetest and gentlest dog but you just have to laugh when she runs down the stairs! Best of luck with the puppy hunt. Guest guest
I love Goldens! Great big sappy dogs... That is if you get a PROPER Golden. Unfortunatly these days, smaller is the new fashion in GR's. With that comes smaller heads, pointer faces, and some aggressiveness... If you can find a breeder of the " old fashioned " Goldens, go for it. We had one... great dopey dog, smarter than my kids, always happy and a delight to share our lives with! That's what we are looking for starting next year. My neighbor has a golden. Huge girl. I mean HUGE and she was the runt of the litter. She has only one weird quirk, and I mean WEIRD... Darn dog doesn't like water of any kind! HUH??????!!!!!! I think that dog came from outer space!!!! K Who's currently in Clarkston Washington!
