Guest guest
I gave a friend some of the dillweed (it certainly smelled and tasted like dill!) I had purchased online, and later she reported that her cats had gotten ahold of it, reacted just like it was catnip, and trashed her place! - has anyone else got wierd cats like this? Maybe I should ask, anyone know of other herbs (other than catnip) that also 'launches' cats? Dave Smith For artists, please visit ArtVillage- - not a rip off! Guest guest
I have often watched the cats go nuts over a bush called Angels Trumpet also called Datura. They will go mad over the plant, eating on the dried leaves or flowers. Guest guest
I thought Datura was poisonous? http://www.desertusa.com/aug97/du_datura.html Shelley Wizentub wrote: > I have often watched the cats go nuts over a bush called Angels Trumpet also > called Datura. > They will go mad over the plant, eating on the dried leaves or flowers. > LOL > ----- >
Guest guest
David, Cats will act 'high' in the presence of many different aromatics. I had a cat who would appear 'high' after sniffing lilac blossoms. I don't know why, but I have observed this. Yes Datura is poisonous and toxic enough that I wouldn't let my cats have any. In fact some people will get a rash just from touching the plant. Carol
