Anyone have an Idea?

I have a friend that is trying to make a bengay type of balm, If you have to

know she's trying to make something like Tei FU lotion… (the old Tei fu

lotion) cause Nature's way has changed their formula and it doesn't do the

job it used to… She uses this stuff to unstuff her nose, and to help

promote circulation. (I told her to be careful and she's actually a doctor

of Naturopath) so she kind of knows that.

Anyway… If anyone has an Idea please let me know… Cause I really want to

help her.

Jennifer, is she making a lotion or a balm/salve? I do both. You can dissolve

your menthol crystals in your essential oils for either one. I also dissolve in

water for my lotion. A little goes a long way. HTH. Jo-Ann

When menthol is melted it is part of the oil phase of whatever formula

you are creating. It melts really quickly so you don't need a lot of

heat to liquify it. It works find in a anhydrous formula. If you want

something a little more lotion-like you would just add it to the oil

phase.
