Little Aleigha was allowed to go home yesterday after having her eye removed

on Wednesday. It was a long and very difficult surgery as there was much

more damage than the surgeon even expected. The first blood work results

are good but there is the bone marrow test results that won't be in until

today. Even if that comes back favorable, she is far from out of the woods.

They must then wait two weeks for the extensive pathology report. This

will tell them whether there are any cancer cells missing. If so, then she

will have to undergo Chemotherapy.

This blessed little girl is only 2 years old and it just rips at my heart

just to think of it. Their four year old son will also have to be tested.

Her father, John, has been allowed to return home from Iraq for 15 days to

be with his family. It doesn't seem long enough but they are thankful for

what they can get.

Please continue to keep this young family in your prayers. Our prayer now

is that there are no missing cancer cells and she won't have to undergo

chemo and them continue to worry that cancer can show up later in her life

in another part of her body.

So, I ask that all that believe in the power of prayer please pray, those

that light candles, please light one for this beautiful little girl,

everyone who believes that there is a higher power at work somewhere in this

vast universe that we call ours please call upon that power to embrace

these sweet people. It will be appreciated more than I can even tell you.

Thank you all,

Evelyn

Dear Evelyn,

I am so sorry for what Aleigha and her whole family are going through. I'm

sure that this email will spark thousands of prayers and wishes for them,

from people around the world. I know you'll be in the thoughts of me, and

many of my coworkers and friends today.

Best Wishes,

Susan
