Guest guest
Oh my gosh. Two ruptured discs. Bless your heart. I have a disc that is deterioratiing and they got me an E-stim (portable) for home use. (physical therapist took care of it) and it has been very helpful with the pain. Best. Guest guest
I really feel for people with back pain and other back problems - I had spinal surgery back in Jan for spinal canal stenosis. I knew going in that the surgery wouldn't take care of all my back problems - I also have 3 collapsed discs and severe arthritis. I had been complaining to drs for years about severe back pain but no one took me seriously. I am seeing a neurologist for my MS and he said that back and leg pain is common with MS but not the kind I was talking about so he ordered a MRI of my spine and in 5 weeks I was coming out of surgery. I can't say enough good things about Henry Ford Healthcare System and it's neurology and neuro-surgery departments - at least 80-85% of the constant pain is gone, and almost all the bladder and bowel problems I had are gone. I was given oxicodone for the pain when I left the hospital. I didn't like the way they made me feel so I only maybe 4 or 5 of them. This microsurgery stuff is amazing ! I had very little pain after the surgery and only a 3 inch cut with no stitches or staples. It's almost October and I still can't get over how much better I feel. There are still some days when it hurts like crazy to try and get out of bed but I realize I'm not a kid any more, (I'm almost 52) and if I do a few of the exercises I learned in physical therapy, in a few minutes I feel MUCH better Paula ..... in Michigan www.farmfreshsoapsandcandles.com farmfreshsoapsandcandles > > I take 1500 mg of hyrocodone ( i hope i spelled it correct) i dont take it every day for fear of getting hooked i only take it when the pain is REAL BAD but ya just gotta keep on keeping on >
