I agree with pretty much all you wrote .. but as for me, there are two

easier methods of avoiding negative thoughts (actually three but I don't

have time for the third now).

One is to keep busy .. matters not if you like what you're doing or not.

Yesterday I de-thatched grass from my yard .. then hauled composted cow

manure to my Blueberry and Blackberry bushes .. then spent SEVEN hours

putting together a lawn sweeper. I started to call the 5 year old from down

the road to help out .. he doesn't read so well yet so he would have likely

done it quicker .. trying to decipher Chinese instructions translated to

English are difficult for folks who do what the instructions say to do. ;-)

The second thing is .. keep a one gram bottle of Rose Otto (Rosa damascena)

in your pocket .. when you are feeling down take it out and sniff it a few

times. A one gram bottle lasts me a year of more.

The third thing .. which I don't have much time for now .. is to read. I

can escape from the world when I am deep into a good book.

Actually .. there is a fourth .. but its very temporary. You can start out

feeling mighty fine and the world turns rosy .. but you gotta lay off and

not participate too much cause if you don't .. then mole hills start turning

into mountains. That fourth way also comes in a bottle (or a can) .. and

it can cause a hangover if one uses too much of it. ;-)

Gotta few emails to reply to but that will be later today or early in the

morning .. right now I gotta go out and cut grass. ;-)

Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com

[Dave]: Right you are. The rose otto I haven't tried. I especially love

to read. Sometimes we go months without even turning on the TV. As for the

fourth method...there are all kinds of things you can ingest to temporarily

forget. I gave all that up years ago. And there are surely other things

that work, too. I was just sharing a trick that works for me.
