Guest guest
Hey y'all, Since this is Ad Day .. I'm gonna make an advertisement for someone else. Before I touch on Martin's Essential Oils Monographs .. I'm gonna top post a short discussion on his Aromatherapy Course. I have posted this info to another group so this will be redundant for some folks. I review dozens of web sites each month and rare it is that I can't find totally incorrect information on Essential Oils and safe use of same. The old rumors that plague this industry are difficult to stifle because folks pick up on them and use them for marketing purposes. Its hard to say if they do this out of greed or ignorance .. probably a combination of the two because one does not have to remain ignorant .. but gaining correct information can put a crimp in one's marketing hype. ;-) It is my (less than humble) professional opinion that his course is the best one around .. its totally professional and allows one to learn the correct information the first time around .. which is better than having to " unlearn " the crap that is out and about .. that course is Martin Watt's Course .. http://www.aromamedical.com/coursedetails.html Martin's Course is $458 - $497 .. depending on whether you want hard copy or CD. Other courses are generally much higher .. but if they were much lower they would have a tough time meeting the standards of his course. I've taken his and one other .. long, long ago. I had to tell you folks this cause the rascal doesn't promote his own course. He depends on word of mouth from others who have taken the course and/or purchased the Monographs. ;-) On 10/3/07, Martin Watt <aromamedical > wrote: > > The paid for oils monographs do list the known therapeutic uses along > with proper references. My set is dog eared now. A wise investment it is for sure. When I see folks on or off list asking questions on various EO I know that they do not own the EO Monographs. ;-) I have absolutely no commercial interests in Martin's AT Course or his EO Monographs .. nor do I receive a commission from sales! I do, however, have an interest in seeing folks in this industry learn the facts about Essential Oils and safe use of same .. it makes my job a lot easier when I sell them and when I reply to numerous off line inquiries each day. :-) In fact, I care about this industry and have long been disturbed about the direction it is heading .. rumors, marketing hype, misinformation and disinformation seem to be more common than credible information. One of these days I'm gonna post a trivia contest with questions on Essential Oils ... its gonna upset some folks when they try to justify their WRONG answers! On the other hand, its gonna open the eyes of those who aren't opposed to having their balloons burst and don't object to replacing long held rumors with facts. As I said, I do care about this industry .. but not as much as I used to. Each day I find myself more and more wondering why I am sitting in front of this PC monitor instead of spending more time dealing with my gardens and playing games with my son. ;-) Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com <http://www.av-at.com/> > Martin, do the monographs you offer on your site explain the > > therapeutic benefits of essential oils in a form similar (but actually > > accurate)to the example you gave in your post, below? Guest guest
Thank you both for responding about the monographs. I am going to look into getting them as I have Plant Aromatics and refer to it often. And Butch, thanks for still squeezing in your replies-but enjoy that garden and your son, your time with him is priceless. Susan
Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience with Sylla Sheppard-Hanger Atlantic Institute course? A friend of mine always recommends her reference manual... I wonder how these two compare. Take care, Henno
