Guest guest
http://www.wayoutwax.com/approach/why_essential_oils.html Unfortunately for us here in the US, we have some very powerful companies (P & G) who have total control over the Cosmetic industry. They do this by buying out their competition basically. While the FDA looks the other way. How are we even to believe when they label the ingredient an Essential Oil that it's not a Fragrant Oil? There is quite a bit of difference. Of course people with allergies can have a serious anaphylactic reaction from Fragrance Oils and also to Essential Oils. So NEITHER should be added haphazardly to all cosmetics. DOH Can anybody here me?
Guest guest
Why would anyone believe the company that produces an EO to do an honest test? " The team from Givaudan, a global producer of fragrance and flavours, used EpiDerm samples, a human cell-derived skin model, in order to test the anti-irritant effects of the fragrance materials. The study, published in the latest issue of the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, investigated the effect of a wide range of fragrance raw materials on skin irritation, concluding that their inclusion into personal care products could improve product mildness. Essential oils are widely used in the cosmetics industry for their odoriferous properties, however, according to the authors, in the past they were commonly used in traditional remedies for their functional properties. <snipped> Read entire article here: http://www.cosmeticsdesign-europe.com/news/ng.asp?n=79986-givaudan-essential-oil\ s-antiperspirants
