Anything good for Asthma? I want to get off steroids permanently

Honey or Green Team, eh?

 

My asthma has really gotten worse over the past 2 years and find

that I am using my inhaler a lot more than I am comfortable with.

 

How does the Green Tea help?

What steroid medication are you taking in your inhaler?

I use Advair. It's a mixture. And my doctor prescribed the very

lowest dosage. I only use when I start wheezing. Once or twice a day

for a day or so. She said it would be better to put that medication

right into your lungs than having to go on tablets.

OK, this will sound terrible and I am sure I will get scolded for

this (;0), but I use the over the counter, ever-so-dangerous,

Primatene Mist.

 

I just haven't made the trip to the doctor to have them prescribe

something like Advair.

 

I used to have very rare attacks and Primatene was an easy way to

deal with it. Now that they are more frequent, I need to figure

something else out.

 

So, that is where I am at and would love to work on some natural ways

to deal as well.

 

How has Advair been for you?

Nikki,

I used to be on 6-8 breathing treatments a day as well oral steroids for my

asthma, I also have used Primatene when i couldn't afford medication. I started

using mullein tincture about 8 years ago, it took me about a year but i have my

asthma well in hand now, i haven't had any prescribed or emergency room

treatments in over 7 yrs. I now make the tincture my self and rarely do i need

to use it more than once daily. I will never go back on Over the counter or dr.

prescribed medication again, my health is way to important for me to be duped

into believing all the garbage they try and shove at us.
