Guest guest
Hi Asthma and steam dont always mix and when they dont mix steam can send the asthmatic right into a *really* bad attack - bad enough for the A & E (ER). Please *dont* put EO's in steam for asthma unless you are positive/sure/know that you (or the person you are giving it to) is OK with steam. I seem to be one of few who knows that people with allergies who use EO's, never mind using steamed EO's, can have severe reactions and end up in the ER. Guest guest
Hi there Its not the EO's I'm concerned about. Its the Steam. There will be some who cannot inhale EO's but their number is few (with genuine EO's - fragrance oils are a totally different subject) compared to those who's asthma is aggravated by steam. I'm sure steam inhalation will work fine for some, but for those who's asthma is steam reactive the result can be horrendous. I'm one who can't take steam, EO's or not - so I know what I'm talking about ;-) I had asthma. Now I dont. Combined therapies - including EO's - have got me over it, to the point I dont take any meds (even the free one's I get in the UK <grinning and waving at Butch!>) But get me too close to a steamy atmosphere and I'm a goner...
