Guest guest
Hi Selene, Yes, the Organic Virgin Coconut Oil I source is the same variety that folks cook with. I do not sell it as " food grade " although mine did begin as food grade. This is because I do not have a food manufacturing license in my state, and even if one is simply repackaging a product that was food grade in its original packaging, they must have a food manufacturing license to sell a repackaged product as food grade. If it is still in the original manufacturer's packaging then it can be resold as food grade - but I buy by the drum, and well, most folks here don't want drums of anything The same goes for the vanilla beans I mentioned. My Vanilla planifolia beans are food grade, as they are in the original producer's shrink wrapping, but the V. tahitensis beans are not sold as food grade, as they are in loose bundles, although they were purchased by me as a food grade product. In case you're wondering if I personally cook with the Virgin Coconut Oil and Vanilla Beans, the answer yes. I hope that clarifies things for you *Smile* Chris (list mom) Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Vanilla Beans Exotic Aromatics & Fabulous Floral Waxes http://www.alittleolfactory.com Check Out Our Blog! http://alittleolfactory.blogspot.com , " Alex WindDancer " <windancr wrote: > > Chris, > is this the same coconut oil that you can cook with? > If not, what is the difference? > > Selene
