Hi Selene,

 

Yes, the Organic Virgin Coconut Oil I source is the same variety that

folks cook with.

 

I do not sell it as " food grade " although mine did begin as food

grade. This is because I do not have a food manufacturing license in

my state, and even if one is simply repackaging a product that was

food grade in its original packaging, they must have a food

manufacturing license to sell a repackaged product as food grade. If

it is still in the original manufacturer's packaging then it can be

resold as food grade - but I buy by the drum, and well, most folks

here don't want drums of anything ;)

 

The same goes for the vanilla beans I mentioned. My Vanilla planifolia

beans are food grade, as they are in the original producer's shrink

wrapping, but the V. tahitensis beans are not sold as food grade, as

they are in loose bundles, although they were purchased by me as a

food grade product.

 

In case you're wondering if I personally cook with the Virgin Coconut

Oil and Vanilla Beans, the answer yes.
