Guest guest
As I mentioned below, fuel and currency conversion rates are most certainly affecting the prices of many imported commodities, including essential oils. Other factors of course also come into play for specific crops, and I decided to check one of my trade industry market newsletters to find out some more info about patchouli specifically and found this info: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Producers and exporters in a number of countries, being major sources of Essential Oils, continue to point to adverse weather conditions this year being responsible for continuing short supplies of certain products and respective price increases. Continuing to cite adverse weather conditions, Indonesian suppliers increased prices for the products currently available, such as ... patchouli. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope that provided some insight for y'all who were wondering *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com , " chrisziggy " <chrisziggy wrote: > > Hi Patti, > > Prices have been going up on many imported items these days due to > several factors including an increase in fuel costs (which affect fuel > surcharges and shipping costs from the transport companies).
