On top of those products, we have scented garbage bags, scented toilet tissue, scented dusting cloths... There was a time that one could go for days on end without smelling anything other than what blew in from the outdoors, or what was cooking on the stove. We had a choice to add scents. Now our noses are assaulted from every direction, including the materials we bring into our homes, like furniture, carpets, cleaning supplies, and packaging. Just commenting on that, because I often wonder how much we can tolerate, and if we haven't already surpassed it. [Dave]: Actually, I think we're close. There's no accounting and no public awareness of things like phthalates that are in most of the products we use. They've found chemicals in newborn babies, and rocket fuel in breast milk. What they haven't done is publicly connect the dots to the many causes of death that simply didn't exist 75 or 100 years ago. Guest guest
I already cannot tolerate it. Between foods with flavored oils and attire with fragrances, my body is at this very moment overwhelmed. My legs are so tired from the chemicals. We are bombarded with fragrances (petrochemical) and flavors (petrochemicals) which not all of us can handle. How do we stop this insanity!
