Guest guest
Hello to everyone. I'm in the mood to start making some Christmas gifts and was wondering if anyone knew how to make a " Bath Bomb? " . My favorites are at Lush.com. The description says that if you drop one in your bath, it turns it into a fizzy mass, sometimes with flower petals, confetti, and colors, then after it calms down, perfumes the bath with essential oils. I would LOVE to know how to make one! Any suggestions? Does anyone on the list make them or have them on their websites? In the meantime, I'll probably buy a few in case the ones I make turn out to be real bombs.... Guest guest
Hi Anna The basic formula for bath fizzies is pretty simple. It's 2 parts bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) to one part citric acid. Most recipes I've seen then call for witch hazel (not too much or it will start to fizz apparently) to bind it together. However when I made mine I used jojoba oil to bind it together and that worked just fine. You add your essential oil or whatever for fragrance with the witch hazel or jojoba. You can buy molds especially for bath bombs or try packing it together in muffin tins. Leave it overnight and then unmold the next day. Also you can just leave it loose and in a powder form until you want to throw it in the tub. Hope this helps. Patty --- awhite777 wrote: > > Hello to everyone.
