Since I joined the natural perfumery group in 2005 I have expanded my

product range to cater for natural perfumers. I found it difficult to

source concretes and tincturing materials.

I had no problem finding absolutes and essential oils and there are

many great suppliers on this group. But I was looking for concretes. I

had sampled the jasmine concrete Mandy Aftel had included in her

essence kit for the level one course and I loved it. When I read that

Mandy loved concretes too I just had to have more of them.

This led me me to finding a supplier of Indian concretes and Bulgarian

concretes.

Slowly but surely I am building up my stock. I have an order in for

mimosa concrete and pink lotus concrete which are exquisite. They will

be with me in a few weeks. A lot of the concretes end up in France

where they are refined for the perfumeries. At this stage the

Bulgarian concrete we carry is legendary, and the jasmine sambac is

going the same way.
